Success for our Apprentices at the CATCH Apprenticeship Awards
Recently, we attended the CATCH Apprenticeship Awards Ceremony and it was fantastic to reward all the hardworking apprentices over the last year. The night was a fantastic celebration, shining a spotlight on those who have gone above and beyond during their apprenticeships.
David Talbot of CATCH introduced the night – he highlighted the move to be an apprenticeship provider (this being their first year of apprenticeship delivery) and how each apprentice in the room will contribute to the STEM skills needs locally and nationally to meet carbon-neutral targets. James MacIntosh hosted the awards; celebrating the dedication of each apprentice, thanking employers and CATCH members for their support. Guest speakers included students from the University of Hull who explained their journey to engineering success and Mike Maudsley of enfinium – who shared a message about lifelong learning, commitment and ambition.
Jakki, our Business Manager, had this to say about the night:
The best bit of the night was the genuine ‘roof raising’ noise and celebration for each the winners and nominees – so many proud individuals in one room! It was a great opportunity to catch up with our great network and apprentices alike, as well as capturing many photos! All of the apprentices have very bright futures ahead of them and they should be extremely proud of themselves.
We were fortunate enough to sponsor an award of our own on the night being the “Employer Award Winner”, selected by all employers in attendance. Jan, our Client Relationship Manager, was able to present the award to the worthy winner, Harry Tant of Tronox!
We’d like to take this opportunity to congratulate all the apprentices once more, as well as thank all employers and everyone at CATCH for providing the best support possible to help these young people blossom and be their best.
