AEA Supports Local Community Through Walking Initiatives
In our commitment to local community engagement and encouraging wellness among our team members, we took part in charity initiatives spearheaded by the Wider Nicholas Associates Group of companies, of which we’re a part of.
Back in February, we joined the ’50 for 50′ initiative launched by our wider Group. The goal was to raise funds for local food banks by collectively walking 50 miles. For every team that achieved this, our business pledged to donate £50 towards purchasing groceries for those in need. This not only helped our local community but also strengthened team bonds and promoted an active lifestyle.
Following the success of ’50 for 50′, our Group introduced ‘March on in March’ the following month. For every 10 miles walked beyond the initial 50-mile target, an extra £10 would be donated to support our local food bank.
Our team embraced both initiatives, covering a total of 599 miles and raising £180. Through this, we had the privilege of supporting Christ Church Cottingham. We’re extremely thankful for Scott and the team at Christ Church who go above and beyond to support local families in need, with our donation forming part of emergency food parcels for those experiencing rough times. We’re extremely fortunate to be in a position where we can make a meaningful contribution to our local community.
Well done to our team for stepping up and making a difference!
